Pagely will be conducting scheduled maintenance for a subset of VPS customers. We will be converting older VPS servers to the new C5d EC2 Instance class.
This round of upgrades is for VPS servers in GROUPS "eu-west-1-c3-1, eu-west-1-c4-1, and eu-west-2-c4-1". Please check your inbox for an email starting with "Platform Upgrade Notice" to determine your group. If you haven't received an email, your server is not yet selected to be upgraded.
The changes will be happening on 2018-10-15 starting at 10:00AM Pacific Time and lasting for 10 hours. Your server will not be down for more than about 3 minutes, but we have a wide maintenance window so that we can get to all the servers in the group.
This new generation of compute-optimized AWS instance has faster processors and additional RAM. Overall, our benchmarks have consistently shown 10-20% better performance when switching to C5d!
During the upgrade, servers will be unavailable for a very short period of time - typically less than 3 minutes. Following the conversion, our team will perform verification steps to ensure everything is back to an operational state.
