Scheduled
Pagely Engineers will be performing online database migrations to Amazon Aurora for some VPS customers in the Virginia region. This will begin at around 8PM PDT on Friday, July 6 2018 and finish by 2AM.

The reason for the migration is an infrastructure upgrade for some of our older RDS instances to the Amazon Aurora database engine. Scope is limited to applications using DB_HOST containing vps-1, vps-2, vps-3, and vps-4. This is a small subset of all hosted sites. After the migration, your sites' database queries should run faster and be on a more reliable engine. No action is needed from you.

There is little to no downtime for most applications during the migration, although there can be a few minutes of downtime for cache MISS requests on sites with a larger DB footprint. Our team will be monitoring the process closely and work to resolve any issues that may arise during the transition.
